Tray with Pitas on Passover Utensil

Pitas were in a disposable tray and were accidentally placed on a Passover utensil that was on a hot electric plate. The pitas themselves did not touch the Passover utensils but were heated in the disposable tray on the hot utensil on the Passover plate. Does the utensil need to be koshered again for Passover, and what is the status of the plate? Thank you very much.

If both the utensil and the tray were cold, the utensil is not forbidden.

Because from utensil to utensil, taste is not transferred without a sauce between them.
