Lighting in the Synagogue During Study

Question

In the synagogue, there is no regular minyan for the Maariv prayer, only an evening kollel where study takes place regularly. Is there a need to light the Chanukah candles?

Answer

No, Chanukah candles are lit only in a place where there is a gathering for prayer.
