Lighting in the Synagogue When There Is No Public Prayer
Question
In our synagogue in the settlement, there is no regular minyan for the Maariv prayer; only individuals come in to pray. Should we light the Chanukah candles?
Answer
No, Chanukah candles are lit only in a place where people gather for prayer.
