Buying a Stroller During Bein HaMetzarim

Question

Is it permitted to buy and use a new stroller during the Three Weeks [in the meantime, the baby has another stroller, and he does not urgently need the new stroller right now]?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

According to the strict letter of the law: for a child’s stroller, one recites the blessing of HaTov VeHaMeitiv, and not Shehecheyanu; therefore, it is permitted to buy it and use it. However, from the perspective of the feeling of mourning, there is room to refrain from doing so.
