Prayer with Short Socks

Question

Is it permitted for a woman to pray with short socks, when the legs are visible
and the knee is covered

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

As a matter of basic law, one must stand for prayer in proper attire, as one who is standing before the King.

However, in a pressing situation, she may pray even when part of the skin is exposed.

Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim, siman 91, se'if 1
— If a tallit was tied around his waist to cover him from his waist downward, it is forbidden for him to pray until he covers his heart; and if he did not cover his heart, or he was under duress and has nothing with which to cover himself, since he covered his ervah and prayed, he has fulfilled his obligation.

Mishnah Berurah, siman 91, se'if katan 2
— That he cover his heart — and the same applies to his entire body.
