Carrying nutshells

Question

If someone ate a nut on Shabbos, and now he a has a shell in his hand, what is he supposed to do with it? Can he take to the trashcan, or does he have to drop it right away? Is it similar to the law, concerning mukze machmas gufo?

Answer

Dear …!

Because he took this nutshell in his hand in a way that was absolutely permitted, since it was part of his food, he is now allowed to take it to the trashcan.
