Eating an uncooked vegetable of the sabbatical year

Question

Is one allowed to eat uncooked squash which has the holiness of the sabbatical year (some people like eating it like that)?

Answer

It’s forbidden to eat raw fruits and vegetables that are normally eaten when they’re cooked, and vice versa, one is not allowed to cook fruits and vegetables that are normally eaten raw. This is considered destroying the fruit/vegetable.
