Shiva which ends on Shabbos

Question

(Shiva is a seven-day period of mourning, observed after passing of a family member.) Someone passed away on Sunday, and the Shiva period ends on the Sabbath. When should the mourners get up (from their low stools), and when should they visit the grave? For those who have the custom of making a special meal after the shiva is over, when should they make this meal?

Answer

Customs associated with public mourning should be observed until the beginning of the Sabbath. Private mourning should be observed until Sabbath morning. This is when you should get up from the Shiva. The grave should be visited on Sunday. The special meal has to be held either the night after Sabbath or on Sunday.
