Tisha B'av: Leather Shoes
Question
I have to go to a construction site tomorrow for work and the required shoes have leather in them and it’s tisha b av. what should I do?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
It is preferable not to go to a construction site on Tisha B'av. However, if you must go for some work related matter, it is best if you can wear your Tisha B'av shoes, if this can be arranged. If you must wear leather shoes for this work related matter, then it is permitted to do so.
