Dressing in the Presence of Holy Books

Is it permissible to dress in front of a holy book? Is there a difference between a man and a woman in this regard?

Answer

Shalom!
It is forbidden to be in a state of undress in the presence of holy books.
For a man, this prohibition includes only to the area of the genitals. For a woman, this includes all parts of the body that are normally covered.
