Transferring a Torah Scroll to a Museum

Question

Is it permitted to transfer a disqualified Torah scroll to a museum?

Answer

Shalom!
It is forbidden. If it is fit for use, it should be put to use. And if not, it should be put in geniza (that is, buried honorably).
