Eating in the Synagogue

Question

I am stuck in a place where there is no place to eat, can I enter the synagogue to eat?

Answer

For Ashkenazi scholars, it is permitted, but for Sephardim, it is forbidden even for scholars. However, in a side room, anyone can eat.
