The Fast of Tisha B'Av for a Pregnant Woman

Question

Greetings and blessings! Is a woman in her 30th week of pregnancy required to fast on Tisha B'Av? In the past, she had 2 slightly premature births (week 35-6). Thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom!
If everything is normal, she should fast.
If there is a concern that a premature birth might occur due to the fast, she should not fast.
It is advisable to consult with a doctor and ask if there is a concern in this situation for premature birth due to the fast.
