Time for the Disposal of Shemitah Fruits

Question

Bought fruits from a non-Jew after the time for disposal has passed. When should they be declared ownerless?

Answer

Ideally, they should be declared ownerless on the day of purchase. If forgotten, they should be declared ownerless as soon as remembered.
