Expenses from maaser funds

I am buying an item for someone using maaser funds.
I can purchase the item at the lowest price, but with much more effort,
or at a “regular” price with much greater convenience.
Do I have to exert myself in order to save expenses for the maaser money?

If this is a reasonable expense that a person would pay for his own convenience, it is permitted to pay it from maaser funds.
