Maaser Money — for a Medical Need

Question

My wife gave birth in her previous delivery by an emergency cesarean section. Baruch Hashem, she is pregnant again, and she wants to make every effort to give birth naturally and avoid surgery, even though the chance of another surgery is high. After looking into it, we saw that the best option is to take a private doctor. Is it permissible to pay part of the cost from maaser funds?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

It is not possible to pay your medical expenses from maaser funds.
