Kabbalat Shabbat — from Ma’aser Funds
Question
My wife organizes an activity on Friday night for the girls of the neighborhood, which includes Kabbalat Shabbat, a Torah thought or story, and at the end she distributes candies. Is it permissible to buy the candies with ma’aser funds?

Shalom u’verachah
It is permitted, since this is a matter of mitzvah: prayer, Torah, and spiritual strengthening.
