Inviting someone for a Shabbat meal
Question
Am I allowed to invite someone to my home for a Shabbat meal when I know that he will come by car?
Answer
Shalom u’vracha.
It is permitted to invite him only if you arrange for him a place to sleep and to stay with you for the entire Shabbat.
If, despite this, he still chooses to return home by car, that is not your responsibility.
