Arriving Late to Synagogue on Shabbat

Question

I arrived late to the synagogue and won't have time for both Pesukei Dezimra and Nishmat. Which takes precedence?

Answer

Shalom and blessings! In this case, Nishmat is preferable over Pesukei Dezimra. You should say Baruch She'amar, Ashrei, Nishmat, and Yishtabach. Only if there is more time should you add additional psalms from Pesukei Dezimra.
