Reciting Vayechulu with the Congregation on Friday Night

Is there an obligation to recite Vayechulu with the congregation?<\/p>

Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim 268:12, and see Mishnah Berurah there, quoting Sefer Chasidim about the punishment for speaking at that time.<\/p>
