Annulment of a Vow on Shabbat
Question
I made a vow not to go on a trip, and I regret it. I can only meet a rabbi on Shabbat. Can he annul my vow on Shabbat? The trip is on Saturday night, and I have no other time.
Answer
It is forbidden to annul a vow that is not related to Shabbat and is not a mitzvah on Shabbat, even if there is no other opportunity.
