Tidying and Washing Dishes on Shabbat
Question
Is a person permitted on Shabbat to wash dishes, tidy the house, or take out the garbage so that the home will be pleasant for his wife, who is very sensitive to order and cleanliness, even when the dishes are not definitely intended for further use on Shabbat?

It is permitted.
Since the need for order and cleanliness is in order to benefit from it on Shabbat itself.
