Bathing a Child on Shabbat

Question

A small child got dirty from vomiting on Shabbat. Is it permissible to wash him with water heated before Shabbat, and what is the reason?

Answer

It is permissible to use water heated before Shabbat, such as water from a boiler, to pour into a bathtub and add cold water.
