Opening a Baby's Crib on Shabbat

Question

Why is there no issue of making a tent on Shabbat when opening a baby's crib? First, the crib is opened and the partitions are made, and there is lavud to the ground. Then the board is placed, and if it is placed high as is customary for infants, there is a tent underneath. Usually, objects are not placed under the crib to consider the space as not enclosed. Thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom Rav

There is no issue with this.

Since it is not made for use underneath, and the partitions do not reach all the way down, therefore there is no lavud in this case.
