Muktzeh in a Mixture of Peanuts and Shells
Question
Peanuts are lying on a plate mixed with their thin shells. Is it permitted to remove them in order to get to the food? See Chazon Ish, siman 45, se’if katan 15. It requires clarification whether his opinion was accepted. 2. What is the halachah when the majority is waste, and also when the waste covers all the food?

Shalom u’vrachah
The practice is not to be concerned for the words of the Chazon Ish, and even when the majority is waste, it is permitted to remove the peanuts from there in the usual manner.
