Removing a Date Pit from the Mouth on Shabbat
Question
When eating dates, is it permissible to remove the pit from the mouth with one's hand, or must it be spat out?
Answer
According to the basic law, it is permissible to remove it with one's hand, but some are stringent and spit it directly from the mouth.
