Shells — muktzeh?
Question
Is it permitted to play on Shabbat with shells that a child collected at the beach?
Answer
Shalom u’vrachah,
If they designated them for playing with, it is permitted to play with them on Shabbat.
However, if they designated them for a prohibited use, such as making a craft from them to decorate the home, it is forbidden to play with them on Shabbat.
