Freezing Water or Juice on Shabbat
Question
Hello Rabbi, is it permissible on Shabbat to put water into the freezer so that it becomes ice? And is it permissible to put in a cup with juice (pareve) and a stick in order to make a popsicle?

The ruling of our teacher Rabbi Amram Fried shlita: It is permissible to freeze water or other beverages on Shabbat. This does not involve either the prohibition of “building” or that of “creating a new entity.”
