Taking Concentration Medication on Yom Kippur Without Water

Question

Is it permissible to take Atenolol without water on Yom Kippur?

Answer

Hello

From the perspective of the prohibition of eating - it is permitted, since it involves swallowing something that is not food.

However, there is an issue regarding the prohibition of taking medication on Shabbat and Yom Tov. Therefore, it is only permitted in cases of great need.
