Scented Shabbat Candles
Question
Is there a preference to light Shabbat candles with scented wax candles, since nowadays there is not so much benefit from the light of the candles, while with these candles there is a benefit in that the home smells better?

This will not help. There is no blessing recited over the enjoyment of the scent of candles; the blessing of “to kindle the candle” was not instituted for that.
