Lighting Shabbat Candles for Guests
Question
A group visiting for Shabbat is sleeping in rooms and eating in a shared dining room. Where should the Shabbat candles be lit: in the rooms or in the dining room?
Answer
In both places, one fulfills the obligation, but it is preferable to light in the dining room.
