Eruv Techumin — from Ramot to Har Shmuel
Question
Is it permissible on Shabbat to walk from the edge of the Ramot D neighborhood in Jerusalem to the entrance of the Har Shmuel neighborhood in Givat Ze’ev by means of an eruv techumin? According to the maps, the distance from point to point is approximately 2.2 km.

It depends exactly from which point in Ramot to which point in Har Shmuel.
The eruv from the direction of Ramot to Har Shmuel covers the entire community. However, the eruv from Har Shmuel to Ramot is effective only for part of the neighborhood.
