Unintentional Shabbat Violation
Question
A person, out of habit and being preoccupied with thoughts, accidentally pressed the elevator button on Shabbat, causing it to operate. What should he do?
Answer
It is considered unintentional, and the atonement for this is to study the laws of Shabbat.
