“Tea” — Easily Cooked?

Question

Is tea considered something that is easily cooked? Some have taught that it is not considered easily cooked. May one be lenient on this basis and heat it in a third vessel on Shabbat?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

Yes, it is considered something that is easily cooked, since the benefit of its cooking is achieved even by pouring from a second vessel and the like.

Therefore, one should not be lenient to heat tea leaves, even in a third vessel.
