Analog Watch — Shabbat
Question
Is it permissible to wear on Shabbat an analog wristwatch (charged by walking), whose battery lasts 48 hours and which charges while one walks with it?
Answer
Shalom u’vrachah,
As long as the watch is charged and working, it is permitted to wear it on Shabbat.
However, if the watch has run down and stopped working, and by wearing it and moving it it will begin working again, it is forbidden to wear it on Shabbat.
