Separation Between Vegetables

Question

Tomatoes and peppers grew for me in an aloe vera pot. Is there an issue of kilayim with this? And what is the halacha if it was done intentionally?

Answer

Shalom u’vracha

Aloe vera is not a food species, and there is no need to distance it from vegetables.

Between the vegetables, one must distance 15 cm [a tefach and a half] between the stems of the vegetables.

If they were planted closer than that, whether inadvertently or intentionally, one must uproot one of them, or make a separating partition between them.
