Treatment Using a Form of Hypnosis

Today, there is a type of psychological therapy invented by Dr. Brian L. Weiss. The idea of the therapy is that through hypnosis and 'regression', the therapist takes the patient (according to them) to previous incarnations and thereby heals their psychological issues. I would like to ask if this is permitted according to Halacha and if I should consider it.
