Blessing on a Borrowed Mezuzah
Question
I am sending the mezuzahs for inspection and temporarily placing other mezuzahs for a week. Should I recite a blessing on them?
Answer
If you have already recited a blessing for affixing mezuzahs in this house, you do not need to bless again. However, if you have never blessed the affixing of mezuzahs in your home, such as if they were already there when you moved in, you should bless the borrowed mezuzahs, and later, when you return your own mezuzahs, you do not bless again.
