Returning Mezuzot to Their Place
Question
When checking the mezuzot, is it necessary to return the same mezuzah to the same place?
Answer
A mezuzah that was in a room where it is obligatory should ideally be returned to a room where it is required by law, and not to a room where it is placed as a stringency. However, if they got mixed up, it can be returned to any place.
