Mezuzah — A Space and a Kitchenette Leading Out of a Room

Hello, is an opening that connects a room to a small space obligated in a mezuzah?

From the small space there are two openings: on the right, to a small kitchenette (this opening already has a mezuzah), and on the left, to a bathroom. One enters the small space in order to reach the kitchenette, for example for netilat yadayim, or in order to enter the bathroom.

The dimensions of the small space:
- Depth: 131 cm
- Width: 89–90 cm
- Width of the opening from the room to the space: 77 cm
- In the inner part of the space there is a wall above the opening. When standing inside the space: on the right side of the opening there is about 2 cm of wall, and on the left side about 8 cm of wall.

The opening is not framed with doorposts.

Is the opening from the room to the small space obligated in a mezuzah? And if so, on which side should it be affixed?

When there are no doorposts in the opening, one must check whether there is a tzurat hapetach that creates an obligation in mezuzah, or whether it is considered a continuation of the large room.

If indeed the opening is obligated in a mezuzah, the mezuzah should be affixed on the right side of one entering from the space into the large room.
