There is no issue of lashon hara if not speaking bad things,
but it is related to the commandment of 'Love your neighbor as yourself', etc.
Is it also permissible to believe, and is it a violation of the commandment of 'Love' or just preferable?

There is no prohibition to believe, but there is a prohibition on engaging in discussions on these topics when they are not interested, according to the commandment of 'Love'.
