Inquiries for Shidduch

Good evening,
What should be done if my wife's friend is inquiring about a boy from my yeshiva who has less than good character traits..., and according to my wife, the girl has very good character traits.
I would appreciate an answer.

Sometimes it concerns bad character traits considered 'significant disadvantages', which are permissible and necessary to mention in a shidduch. Other times, it may be something you personally find less agreeable.
In cases of bad character traits, it is obligatory to inform the other party, but attention must be paid to the guidelines of permission outlined in the book Chafetz Chaim.
