Kashrut of wigs: is lace permitted? Which type is permitted? And what does the rabbi’s certification cover — the hair, or also the lace?

Shalom u’vrachah
The ruling of our teacher, Rabbi Amram Fried shlita, is that lace wigs are forbidden, because they look exactly like the woman’s own hair.
There is no rabbinic certification on wigs; there is only a certificate of reliability, stating that the importer is trusted to say that this hair did not come from India.
Of course, even hair that has a certificate of reliability may not be used to make a wig that has a problem of tzniut.
