A Father Squandering His Assets

Hello,
A son who sees his father squandering his assets (millions) and quickly heading towards having nothing and ending up on the street, how should he feel towards his father? Pity? Anger?

Certainly, the father is not doing this out of desire, but is in a poor mental state, and there is no place for anger, only for pity and a desire to help him.
This is true for any person, and certainly regarding your father, whom you are obligated to honor, which includes thinking well of him and not ill.
