Loan to an Untrustworthy Person
Question
A person I know asked me for a loan. I have the money, but I know him to be problematic with finances, and I fear the money won't be returned. Am I obligated to lend to him?
Answer
There is no mitzvah to lend to a person who may not return the loan.
