Participation of a Mourning Educator in a Celebration

Hello,
I have a yahrzeit for my father tomorrow, which is Rosh Chodesh Tevet.
I work as an educator in a Talmud Torah. They want to have a musical Hallel and Rosh Chodesh songs. Am I allowed to participate and play with my students?

An educator is permitted to participate, as he is only fulfilling his duty.
