Ma'asrot (Tithes) – Investment

Shalom uVracha,I would like to know the Rav’s opinion regarding depositing ma’aser money into equity-based investment tracks (such as the S&P 500) for the purpose of saving toward my children’s weddings. Thank you very much!

Shalom uVracha,
Our Rav Harav Amrom Fried shlit”a, says that it is forbidden to place ma’aser money into investment funds. Rather, it should be deposited in a gemach (free-loan fund) or the like until the wedding.
