Gifts to Rabbis from Maaser Funds

Can one give money from maaser to rabbis in the cheder on Purim?
Answer
Hello,
Anything that is an obligation cannot be paid for with maaser funds.
Therefore, anything that is customary to give cannot be given from maaser.
If one wishes to give beyond this, for the support of the rabbi or to encourage the son's learning, it is permitted.
