Glasses Ordered for a Wedding That Did Not Arrive on Time

I bought glasses before my wedding and told the seller that they were intended for the wedding. The day before the wedding, it turned out that the lenses had been made not as I had requested, and it was not possible to fix them in time. Am I obligated to pay for the glasses, even though after the wedding they are no longer relevant for me?
