Validation with Another's Rav-Kav

Hello, I have a Rav-Kav card with a monthly pass. When I boarded the bus, I realized I left it at home, and a friend validated for me with his pass. Did we act according to Halacha?

Unfortunately, you did not act according to Halacha.
The company owns the bus and does not permit usage without legal validation.
Since the bus belongs to them, they have the right to deny you usage according to their decision.
